The Vikings women's basketball team remains in search of its first win of the season, falling to Compton College 77-71 despite a strong showing through three quarters.
At halftime, the Vikings were within striking distance, trailing by only nine points. However, Compton College increased their defensive efforts in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Vikings 43-12.
The coaching staff has pinpointed turnovers and missed free throw opportunities as critical areas for improvement. Barstow attempted only 8 free throws compared to Compton College's 34.
The Vikings look to regroup as they continue their road trip, heading to Lemoore College on Tuesday, November 26th, for a 5:00 p.m. tip-off.
