MEN'S BASKETBALL SIGNS GOMEZ DEL CASAL RODRIQUEZ TO 2016 CLASS
Men's Basketball - Thu, Jul. 7, 2016

Riverside, Calif. - The Golden Eagles men's basketball program is happy to announce the signing of Eduardo Gomez del Casal Rodriquez.  The 6'6 forward will arrive at La Sierra University this fall after spending the last two seasons at Barstow College.

Gomez del Casal Rodriquez is a native of Logrono, Spain.  Prior to his time at Barstow, he played four years of high school basketball in his home country where he was twice named the league and finals most valuable player.

Eduardo was born with the basketball bug, following in the footsteps of his dad and uncle who played professionally in Spain.  Gomez del Casal Rodriquez has requested to wear the number 10 jersey in honor of his father who wore the same number as a professional and who he also lists as his favorite athlete.

He not only has displayed his ability on the basketball court but more importantly in the classroom.  Gomez del Casal Rodriquez arrives at La Sierra University with a 4.0 GPA and displayed leadership experience as a student government representative at his former institution.

We would like to welcome Eduardo to our La Sierra University community and the Golden Eagles athletic family.
